Lawyers Make More Requests in Rudolph Trial

By Alabama Public Radio

Birmingham, AL – Preliminary jury selection in the Eric Robert Rudolph bombing trial will begin April sixth. And, the prosecution and the defense have made more requests. Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to allow them to take jurors on a bus tour. Prosecutors want to show them the Birmingham abortion clinic Rudolph is accused of bombing. It happened in January of 1998. Rudolph's lawyers have again asked for the indictment against Rudolph to be thrown out. They say the court's jury selection procedures violate Rudolph's constitutional rights. The attorneys' requests were made public Wednesday.
