Montgomery, AL – Governor Riley is praising the Alabama Development Office, saying its staff should be commended for helping the state's economy grow. A national business publication has rated the state's industrial recruitment agency as the best in the nation for 2004. Site Selection Magazine chose the ADO for its annual Competitiveness Award. The magazine says Alabama didn't have any mega-projects in 2004, but it did recruit many smaller projects all over the state. And it says the state helped homegrown companies expand rather than move to larger states.
