Tuscaloosa, AL – Tuscaloosa is one of six cities in the country picked to receive a HOPE Six Revitalization Grant. The U-S- Department of Housing and Urban Development is providing 20 million dollars to revamp the McKenzie Court housing development. It's the city's largest and second-oldest public housing area. The project will include new housing units and also single-family residences built in the surrounding neighborhood. U-S Senator Richard Shelby says the project will create a safer and more resident-friendly housing community.
