Mobile, AL – America's Junior Miss officials are hoping a new city would bring in fresh ideas and fresh money. Those affiliated with state and national Junior Miss programs say that new city that's been mentioned most often has been Chattanooga. Tennessee State Junior Miss Chair Lynn Steele says she thinks there will still be a national program. She says Chattanooga had said it would take the program if Mobile dropped it. But she says the pageant could also get a new name. Program officials announced in May that 2005 would be the last year for the Junior Miss competition. Officials cited financial difficulties, mainly the inability to attract a major television network and retain national sponsors.
