Mayoral Runoff in Tuscaloosa

By Alabama Public Radio

Tuscaloosa, AL – Tuesday's Tuscaloosa mayoral runoff pits Walt Maddox and Sammy Watson. Dr. David Lanoue, Chair of the University of Alabama's Political Science Department, says voter turnout is the key and it may be higher in districts with city council runoffs. Lanoue says supporters of Mark Booth, who finished third in last month's initial race, may be the key to the election. The polls opened Tuesday morning at seven and will close at seven P-M.
