Bush Nominates Two Alabamians to Federal Court Spots

Washington, D.C. – Kristi DuBose, who worked for Jeff Sessions when he was a U-S attorney, state attorney general and U-S senator, was selected as a federal judge in Alabama's Southern District. DuBose is currently a federal magistrate judge. She will succeed U-S District Judge Charles R. Butler, who retired. Keith Watkins is a member of a Troy law firm who has a background in business litigation and mediation. He will replace retiring Judge William Harold Albritton in Alabama's Middle District. Both nominees face confirmation by the Senate. The dates of their hearings haven't been set yet.
