State Legislators Propose Rural Centers

Montgomery, AL – Senate President Pro Tem Lowell Barron and House Speaker Seth Hammett say they hope to pass legislation creating the Center for Rural Alabama in the legislative session starting in January. Barron says 13 states already have similar centers. Barron and Hammet both come from rural areas. They made the announcement Thursday.
