Tuscaloosa AL – The vacant District 70 House will be topic of a meeting tomorrow evening at the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse annex. The Tuscaloosa County Democratic Executive committee is trying to select a nominee for that seat, which was vacated after former Representative Bryant Melton agreed to plead guilty to federal charges of theft and fraud. The committee's nomination will be sent to the State Democratic Executive committee for final approval ... and will almost certainly win the seat as there is no opposition in that race. Five candidates thought to be under consideration are Chris England, Deloris Warrick, Ken King, Earnestine Tucker and Roosevelt Harris.
