Tuscaloosa, AL – Governor Bob Riley concluded this week's quadrennial Legislative Orientation at the University of Alabama with a post-luncheon speech Wednesday.
His 21-minute speech included a challenge to lawmakers to abandon partisanship and to serve the needs of their constituents over the needs of special interest groups.
Governor Riley also asked members of the legislature to pass government reforms -- including a ban on PAC-to-PAC transfers -- during the 2007 legislative session.
This is a recording of the governor's entire speech.
