Blood Banks Report Shortages

By Associated Press

Montgomery, AL – Blood banks in central Alabama need donations. LifeSouth Community Blood Bank and the American Red Cross are both in dire need of Oh-positive and Oh-negative blood. The banks say the critical shortage is due to accidents over the holidays and the resulting surgeries and transfusions. In addition, people who donate regularly tend to get busy and not donate over the holidays.
