Little Will Chair Committee to Review Senate Fight

By Associated Press

Montgomery, AL – The state Senate's Democratic majority leader, Zeb Little, will serve as chairman of the Senate committee reviewing a Republican senator hitting a Democratic senator.

The Senate Ethics Committee met Thursday in Montgomery to get organized to review the complaint that Democratic Sen. Lowell Barron filed against Republican Sen. Charles Bishop.

In addition to electing Little as chairman, the committee elected Democratic Sen. Bobby Singleton as vice chairman.

After the elections, the committee went into a closed door meeting to discuss the complaint. Bishop hit Barron on the Senate floor on June seven.
