Birmingham, AL – Twenty-six more miles of Corridor X opens to traffic today (11/14). It's a 20-mile stretch of roadway between Jasper and U.S. 78 in Graysville. Governor Bob Riley and other local officials will dedicate the highway Wednesday at 2 p.m.
State Transportation Director Joe McInnes said Alabama's portion will be finished by 2010.
Once Corridor X is connected to I-65, it will become Interstate 22 connecting Birmingham and Memphis.
