Rain, Thunderstorms Possible Across Alabama

Mobile – You might want to keep an umbrella handy today.

The National Weather Service says thuderstorms and heavy rains are likely across Alabama today. The greatest chances are expected to come in the afternoon.

Forecasters in Mobile say some areas should receive one or two inches of rain. And a few isolated areas could get up to four inches of rain.

The weather service says a cold front should pass through tonight. That will bring decreasing chances of rain overnight and Friday as high pressure brings in drier air.

There's another good chance for rain late Saturday into Sunday.
