Severe Weather Possible for Parts of Alabama Today

Alabama – Forecasters urge Alabamians to monitor weather conditions today. The National Weather Service said a storm system fed by Gulf moisture will enhance thunderstorms in front of an approaching cold front.

The system has the potential to spawn severe thunderstorms, heavy rain and hail this afternoon.

Isolated tornadoes also are possible.

Residents are urged to monitor their weather radios or other media outlets for the latest weather watches or warnings.
