Montgomery, AL – The state Senate ethics committee has considered a punch that ended the last session of the Legislature, but committee members say they need another meeting next week to reach a decision.
The committee met in private for about an hour Wednesday to discuss the blow that state Senator Charles Bishop of Jasper landed to the head of state Senator Lowell Barron of Fyffe last June.
Committee members said afterwards they plan to meet again January 31 and are committed to make a decision before the next legislative session starts February 5.
