Undated, AL – Forecasters urge Alabamians to monitor weather conditions on Friday.
A large storm system will move across the state in front of an approaching cold front.
Meteorologists said the system has the potential to spawn severe thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong gusty winds. Isolated tornadoes also are possible.
Forecasters have also issued a lake wind advisory for dozens of counties until 7 p.m. Friday evening.
Residents are urged to monitor their weather radios or other media outlets for the latest weather watches or warnings.
