Montgomery, AL – Survivors of the Holocaust in Nazi occupied Europe in the 1930s and 1940s were remembered Friday in a ceremony at the Alabama Capitol.
Gov. Bob Riley told a crowd of about 100 people in the old House chambers at the Capitol that humans should vow that ``never again will we allow that to happen.''
Riley signed a resolution proclaiming Friday ``Holocaust Remembrance Day'' in Alabama and presented it to Holocaust survivor Max Herzel of Birmingham.
