Montgomery, AL – About 400 people are meeting in Montgomery to discuss how faith-based and community groups can address some of the problems facing Alabama.
Governor Riley is scheduled to speak today at the annual conference of the Governor's Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives.
Other speakers include state Superintendent of Education Joe Morton, state Health Officer Don Williamson, Deputy Corrections Commissioner Vernon Barnett, and Homeland Security Director Jim Walker.
The participants will address how to help former prisoners re-enter society, how to reduce the school dropout rate, how to increase access to health care, and how to respond to disasters.
