Dothan AL – The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission gave Farley Nuclear Plant a positive review.
The NRC revealed the results of an inspection of the plant in a public meeting on Thursday.
The two-week inspection was held because Farley had not adequately addressed some problems at the plant. The commission's Michael Earnstes said the issues have been addressed and corrective actions are in place to prevent repeat problems.
The commission said it will check the plant again in December to gauge the effectiveness of measures Farley has taken.
Farley Vice President Randy Johnson said the inspection was a positive one for the plant. But he says there's still some work to do.
