Montgomery, AL – Alabama Gov. Bob Riley is warning residents to be prepared as Tropical Storm Fay moves through north Florida and along the Gulf coast toward Alabama.
Fay has already made three landfalls in Florida and is expected to bring heavy rain and windy conditions to south Alabama over the weekend.
Riley on Friday urged south Alabama residents to have emergency supplies available, including fresh water, prescription medicines and food.
The director of the Alabama Emergency Management Agency, Brock Long, says the state emergency operating center in Clanton will be open Saturday to monitor Fay's progress.
