Tuscaloosa, AL – In this era, it could be said a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single crank. In the near future, motorists will be able to journey 880 miles from Mobile to Chicago using only ethanol and biodiesel, which burn cleaner than gas.

It's all part of project called Clean Corridor. Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana - with help from the federal government - will install ethanol pumps at service stations along Interstate 65.

APR's Brandon Hollingsworth spoke with Mark Bentley, executive director of the Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition, as he traveled I-65 between Mobile and Prattville.
