By Associated Press

Guntersville, AL – Authorities say a Marshall County woman was killed and her husband seriously injured in a storm that hit the Asbury community near Guntersville and a Morgan County man died when a tree fell onto his mobile home.

Sheriff's spokesman Heath Thomas says the couple were in their mobile home on Gin Road when it was destroyed in the storm Sunday night. Their names were not immediately released.

In Morgan County, a tree fell on a mobile home killing the man inside. Priceville Fire Chief Charles Black said the victim, 63-year-old Robert "Jay" Irwin, was in his living room when the storm hit just after 7 p.m.

Officials say several mobile homes near Priceville were damaged or destroyed.

The National Weather Service has not yet determined whether a tornado hit the area.
