Montgomery, AL – Birmingham attorney Luther Strange has kicked off a Republican campaign for attorney general by accusing GOP incumbent Troy King of ethical lapses that have damaged the office's integrity.
Strange says he will restore the office's integrity if elected next year.
King says Strange's announcement distorted his record and sent the campaign into the gutter before it even got started.
Strange and King are the only announced candidates so far, but the primaries are not until June 2010.
