Tuscaloosa AL – This week (6/9/09), APR News is exploring the issue of unemployment in a series titled "Hard Times in Alabama". Twice as many Alabamians - around 191-thousand- are jobless compared to this time last year. That has triggered higher taxes for businesses next year. The state also needs a loan to make sure benefits aren't interrupted.
