Tuscaloosa, AL – Yesterday (6-25-09) the United States Supreme Court ruled 5 to 4 in favor of a case that gave criminal defendants the right to cross examine crime analysts at trial. Prior to this decision many states, including Alabama, were allowed to send a paper version of the results of any forensic test signed by the analyst to the jury. Alabama Public Radio's Ryan Vasquez talked with Alabama's solicitor general Corey Maze about what this decision now means for Alabama's court cases.
