Montgomery, AL – Alabama's new beach license plate is outselling the state's ``God Bless America'' car tag by a 3-to-1 margin.
The new beach design went on sale in January. The state Revenue Department reports that more than 909,000 were sold in the first six months. That compared to more than 301,000 ``God Bless America'' tags.
Motorists can choose either license plate. The ``God Bless America'' tag was introduced in 2006.
