Birmingham, AL – The Democratic field for Alabama's 7th Congressional District is getting more crowded.
Martha Bozeman of Birmingham has announced her candidacy, which brings the field to six.
The 44-year-old lawyer and political consultant says her priority, if elected, will be to bring new industry and more jobs to the district.
Bozeman joins a field that includes state Rep. Earl Hilliard Jr. of Birmingham, former Selma Mayor James Perkins, Birmingham lawyer Terri Sewell, Jefferson County Commissioner Shelia Smoot and Tuscaloosa small-business owner Eddison Walters.
The incumbent, Democrat Artur Davis, is running for governor.
