Auburn, AL – Auburn University is receiving more than $14 million in federal stimulus funds to build a science, technology and commerce research center.
Auburn announced the $14.4 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce on Monday.
Auburn President Jay Gogue said the research facility will aid researchers working on standards, measurements and forecasting related to food safety, bioenergy technology, aquaculture development, and environmental quality.
The 68,000-square-foot center will be located in the Auburn Research Park and will have 21 research laboratories.
