Montgomery, AL – Attorney General Troy King is seeking input from district attorneys as he weighs an Alabama Supreme Court ruling on electronic bingo machines in the state.
King said Tuesday he is sending a letter to the district attorneys in counties that operate any form of bingo, including paper games and electronic bingo machines.
He said he is asking them to study the court's ruling, particularly its six-part test to determine if the bingo is legal. King said he would support the district attorneys on what they decide to do to enforce the ruling.
The court's ruling, in a case involving electronic bingo at White Hall, cast doubt on the legality of the electronic machines.
