Tuscaloosa, AL – Baseball season cranks up again next month. As fans prepare to cheer on their favorite team, the mood is much more somber in the city of Demopolis. The New Era factory in Marengo County is where the official on-field caps worn by major league players and managers are made. But that plant may not see the end of the season, as New Era closes the facility. Alabama Public Radio's Brandon Hollingsworth reports on what local leaders plan to do now.
