New Pool Of Oil Spoils Ala. Beach After Clean Morning

Orange Beach, AL – After looking good in the morning, the shoreline at Orange Beach has been fouled again by a long strand of tar balls.

The crude from the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico was washing ashore Wedneday while an executive for BP was telling Orange Beach residents that little more than a bit of weathered oil and sheen was visible in Alabama waters.

While the oil continues to plaque coastal Alabama, Gov. Bob Riley is making a point to have his family at Orange Beach for a long Father's Day weekend. The Rileys, along with two daughters and four grandchildren, plan to spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Orange Beach, enjoying the Gulf and eating seafood in local restaurants.
