Bentley Taps 3 To Lead Major Alabama Agencies

Montgomery, AL – Gov.-elect Robert Bentley has chosen state Homeland Security director Art Faulkner to direct the Alabama Emergency Management Agency and former state Rep. Mac Gipson to be administrator of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.

Bentley also announced Friday that he has re-appointed Nancy Bucker as commissioner of the Department of Human Resources. She will continue in the post pending confirmation by the department's board.

Gipson, a Republican who served four terms in the House representing Autauga and Elmore counties, also must be confirmed by the ABC board.

Faulkner has more than two decades of experence in local and state government, including serving with the new state Homeland Security department since 2003. He became its director in November.
