Monday Deadline For Small Business Disaster Loans

Montgomery, AL – The deadline is approaching for disaster loan applications to The Small Business Administration related to the April tornadoes.

The SBA says only a small percentage of applications for disaster loans have been returned. The deadline to apply is Monday. . The agency is urging those who had storm-related damage to apply to determine eligibility for a low interest loan, even if they are not sure they will need one because it qualifies the business for other types of aid.

The agency says that victims should not wait until insurance companies have settled their claims. The agency says that more than 80 percent of SBA disaster loans are for home owners and renters. Applications can be filed by phone or the agency's website.
