Montgomery, AL – A Montgomery judge has ruled that former U.S. Rep. Artur Davis didn't pay all the bills from his unsuccessful race for governor.
Montgomery County District Judge Jimmy Poole returned a $5,770 judgment against Davis in a complaint brought by Booster's. The Montgomery company argued that Davis and his campaign didn't pay for all the campaign material ordered in 2010.
Davis is appealing the judge's decision. He says the judge's ruling is at odds with the law in Alabama about campaigns.
Davis left Alabama several months after losing the Democratic primary to Ron Sparks and now practices law in Washington.
