Lincoln, AL – Honda Manufacturing of Alabama officials say the company will hire 100 new employees by 2013 at the company's Lincoln plant.
The announcement reported by The Anniston Star is part of an $84 million expansion plan to increase production capacity at the plant.
Officials made the announcement Monday in celebrating the 10th anniversary of mass production at the plant. Several officials were on hand, including Gov. Robert Bentley and U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers.
Combined with investments announced earlier this year, Honda is investing $275 million and adding 140 jobs by 2013 to increase flexibility and production in Alabama.
The $1.5 billion plant began production with the Odyssey minivan. The plant employs about 4,000 people and is the sole North American producer of the Odyssey, the Pilot SUV and the Ridgeline pickup.
