TUSCALOOSA, AL – Alabama state lawmakers are less than two weeks away from the start of this year's legislative session in Montgomery. The GOP-controlled legislature faces a lot of challenges including a tight budget and prison overcrowding. Earlier this week, Tuscaloosa state lawmakers met for a political forum to talk with residents about the issues this year. Alabama Public Radio's Maggie Martin was there and has this report.
