Atlanta, GA – The speaker of the Alabama House of Representatives asked Georgia lawmakers for their prayers for no ``fist fights on the floor'' as the state begins work next week on redrawing legislative district lines.
Alabama House Speaker Mike Hubbard visited the Georgia Legislature on Tuesday. Hubbard, a Georgia native and graduate of the University of Georgia, was invited by Georgia House Speaker John Ralston.
Hubbard, a Republican from Auburn, said the two states ``have similar challenges'' and can learn from each other. He said though he lives in Alabama, he will be a proud Georgia native ``until I go to my grave.''
