Montgomery, AL – Alabama Postsecondary Chancellor Freida Hill says she has no plans to resign her position as head of the state's system of two-year colleges.
Hill said in a statement Friday that rumors of her resignation or plans to quit her position as chancellor are false. She said the rumors started after the State Board of Education on Thursday voted to hold a special meeting on March 7 to discuss Hill's performance as chancellor including ``possible termination'' of her contract.
She said the rumors that she has quit her job ``are false'' and undermine the community college's ability to educate more than 100,000 students.
Hill said her contract calls for the board to review her performance periodically and the March 7 meeting is part of that process.
