Alabama school students may notice some changes now that class is back in session after the Labor Day weekend.
AL.com reports all students in Macon County will be learning at home this week. They will also be required to have one virtual day at home after Sept. 13. The decisions were made as pediatric COVID-19 cases remain an ongoing concern for Alabama public schools.
Randolph County schools will also remain virtual until next Thursday. Several schools in Montgomery County have closed for two weeks after a recent increase in COVID-19 cases such as Park Crossing High School. Chambers County schools are returning back to in-school teaching this week. Wetumpka High School in Elmore County is also planning to return to school after a period of virtual learning.
