Pfizer booster shots now available in Alabama

Hundreds of locations in Alabama can soon offer Pfizer booster shots for those who are eligible.

Clinics and pharmacies across the state are providing the vaccine, including 131 CVS Pharmacy locations.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved the recommendation of Pfizer booster doses in a press release.

The booster is available for those who are 65 years old and older living in long-term care facilities, frontline workers, and 18 years and older with underlying health conditions. Various Walgreen and Wal-Mart pharmacies will also offer the booster doses.

Alabamians can visit vaccines.gov or the Alabama Department of Public Health’s COVID dashboard to find a vaccination clinic offering the Pfizer vaccine near them.
