Alabama GOP's priorities for the Trump administration

While President-Elect Donald Trump assembles his White House team, Alabama Republicans have a laundry list of things they want from the new administration. The state gave the GOP nominee its nine electoral votes last week and Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions is part of Trump’s inner circle. State GOP Chair Terry Lathan says Republican voters in Alabama have specific goals in mind once Trump takes office in January…

“They want a conservative policy person. They want conservative Supreme Court judges. They want the health care premiums of Obamacare to get off our backs. They want less taxes, and they want government to stay out of our business as much as possible.”

How much of that agenda comes true remains to be seen. The President-Elect appears to be walking back on his pledge to totally cancel the Affordable Care Act. Mr. Trump also unveiled a trillion dollar plan last month to build roads, bridges, and other infrastructure projects which needs to be paid for.
