Program Director & Content ManagerBrittany Young is Alabama Public Radio's Program Director and Content Manager. Brittany began her public radio journey in the spring of 2015 as a news intern for APR while in graduate school at The University of Alabama. During her time as program director, she’s managed a local Storycorps initiative, where her team of interns produced over 50 short stories for on-air and APR’s website; she’s launched three local commentaries – two that are award-winning – Keepin’ It Real, Crunk Culture and Living with Less Plastic; and she produces and edits for Crunk Culture. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending concerts and sporting events, listening to podcasts and working out.
