Mobile, AL – The boards of trustees at the University of Alabama and Auburn University will consider proposed increases in tuition for the coming school year.
The vice chancellor for system relations at Alabama, Kellee Reinhart, said its board of trustees will consider a proposed 9.4 percent increase in tuition for full-time, in-state undergraduate students.
Auburn spokeswoman Deedie Dowdle said its trustees will consider a 5.7 percent increase for those same student categories.
Each board will be presented the proposals on Thursday, but won't vote on them until Friday.
