Birmingham, AL – The Alabama Policy Institute of Birmingham and the Family Research Council of Washington are selling book covers featuring the Ten Commandments. A set of five costs one-and-a-half dollars and can be purchased on line. Spokespersons for both groups say the covers will allow students to express their support for the Ten Commandments monument that recently was removed from the Alabama judicial building. Dave Boyd, legal counsel for the Alabama Association of School Boards, says banning the covers from public schools could be a violation of a student's right of free expression.
