Auburn, AL – Former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev will visit Auburn University today. Gorbachev is scheduled to speak at seven o'clock tonight at the Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum. He'll speak through an interpreter and will discuss international leadership. He will take questions afterward. Auburn University officials say tonight's speech is part of Gorbechev's nationwide tour. Auburn is one of only two colleges he will visit. Gorbechev won the 1990 Nobel Prize for pursuing more openness in the Soviet government and helping end the Cold War.
