Birmingham, AL – A joint memorial service is planned Wednesday for the three officers killed last Thursday in a Birmingham neighborhood while they were serving a misdemeanor domestic violence warrant. More than 300 police officers from Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia gathered at the First Baptist Church of Moody Tuesday to honor officer Harley Chisholm the Third. Funeral services for officers Carlos Owen and Rob Bennett were held Monday. Friends and family say the three were men who were dedicated to their jobs and their communities. Wednesday's memorial service will be at one p.m. at the Alabama State Fairgrounds. Nathaniel Woods and Kerry Spencer have been charged with capital murder in the killings.
