New Plant in Albertville Bringing 650 Jobs

By Alabama Public Radio

Albertville, AL – A new poultry processing plant is opening in Albertville. It's expected to bring about 650 new jobs to the area. Governor Riley joined executives from AlaTrade Foods at Thursday's groundbreaking ceremony for the company's third plant in Marshall County. The company already has two similar facilities in Boaz that employ about 500 workers. Company officials say they expect to create the 650 new jobs when the plant reaches full production in three years.
