Montgomery, AL – Brent Springford made his first court appearance in Alabama Tuesday. He's accused of killing his parents on Thanksgiving Day. Winston and Charlotte Springford were the owners of a Pepsi bottling plant in Luverne. Brent Springford said nothing during the hearing. The judge told Springford he will remain incarcerated without bond. Montgomery County District Attorney Ellen Brooks said Springford's case probably will not be presented to a grand jury next month. She says it could take several months for the case file to reach her office because the states of Alabama, Colorado, and Oklahoma are involved.
