Gas Prices Down...Finally

By Alabama Public Radio

Birmingham, AL – There's finally a break in the rising gasoline prices. Triple-A Alabama's daily survey shows gas prices are continuing a downward trend. Regular unleaded now averages $2.19 a gallon; mid-grade fuel is about $2.34; and premium is around $2.41 a gallon. Triple-A says prices are down almost a penny in Monday's survey. The survey also says Birmingham continues to have the cheapest regular average at $2.16. Huntsville-area gas stations still have the most expensive prices at $2.22.
