Mobile, AL – The Southern Legislative Conference will hold its 59th annual meeting in Mobile. The conference will begin Saturday and last through the following Wednesday. Lawmakers plan to discuss several topics, including the 2007 Farm bill, rural development and educational improvement. Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao is scheduled to speak to the group Monday, August first.
